Women in SET

On a recent interview with Joan, Dr. Laura Sherbin, the Executive Vice President and Director of Research for the Center for Talent Innovation, talked about the “middle-rung” for women in SET (Science, Engineering, Technology) organizations, as the place where women languish. It is the place where they can either stay in that middle management position or take the leap into a more senior position. Although women in SET love their jobs, this time of a woman’s career is also fraught with additional obstacles on the path upward. This fantastic infographic from the Athena 2.0 study from the Center for Talent Innovation, shows the percentage of women in SET across geographies and the blocks they face at the “middle-rung.”
