State Energy Trend? – Betsy McCorkle, North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association

State Energy Trend? – Betsy McCorkle, North Carolina Sustainable Energy AssociationWith new legislation being voted on that could be a sign of what’s to come in state energy policy – aside from the mayors who are joining the climate agreement – we thought it was a good time to re-air our interview with Betsy McCorkle, head of governmental affairs at the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA).
According to The North State Journal in N.C., the new legislation “ aims to reshape the relationship between traditional utilities and renewable energy providers after a decades-long arranged marriage through the Renewable Energy Portfolio Standards (REPS) laws passed in 2007. “

Betsy works with legislators, state and local government officials, state agencies, the clean energy industry and allied organizations to educate them on clean energy issues and a related legislative agenda, so she’s on the front lines.
